Leaderboard Mentions

What are Mentions?

Mentions are custom recognitions you can use to acknowledge noteworthy accomplishments that aren't automatically tracked by your VT System. Designed to give you flexibility, Mentions allow you to celebrate Users' unique achievements—whether they're completed within your VT System or out in the field—by awarding points and providing personalized recognition displayed on their own Leaderboard page.

• Customized Recognition: Highlight specific, valuable contributions that standard Leaderboard activities can't track, such as exceptional client interactions, personal development milestones, or special projects.
• Increased Engagement: Keep Users motivated by regularly recognizing their individual contributions, reinforcing positive behavior and dedication.
• Encourage Peer Recognition: Allow Users to view achievements earned by their peers, fostering a supportive community and healthy competition within your system.

How to Use Mentions

1. Enable Mentions

• Go to the Super User Dashboard and select Leaderboard Management.
• Select the Settings icon for the Leaderboard you want to edit.
• Under Achievement Types, turn on Enable Mentions.
  
• Define which Access Levels are allowed to award a Mention:
  • Top Admins can award Mentions to Users across all Locations.
  • Managers can award Mentions only to Users within their oversight.

2. Post a Mention

• From the Main Menu or Slider Menu, navigate to the Leaderboard.
• Click the "@ Mention" button (top right).
• Select the appropriate Locations:
  This option is available only when Location Isolation is disabled.
  • All Locations, Select Locations
• Then select the Users:
  • All Users, Content Roles, or Specific Users.
• Enter your customized Message.
• Specify the Points awarded.
• Click Submit to post your Mention.

3. Receiving Mentions

• Awarded Users will be notified via a pop-up upon their next sign-in.
  

• Users can view their Mentions and those of their peers under a dedicated Mentions tab on the Leaderboard.
