Turn AI into Your Personal Conversion Copywriter

Want your upsell offers to sound irresistible every time? By setting up a dedicated AI project in ChatGPT or Claude, you can build a workspace that consistently delivers persuasive, on-brand upsell descriptions. This setup ensures the AI writes with your voice, follows proven conversion principles, and saves you hours of manual rewriting.

Why Set Up a Project

Creating a project gives your AI context — helping it understand your tone, audience, and goals before you even start typing. Once configured, every chat in this project automatically follows your copywriting rules and brand standards.

Step 1: Create a New Project

In ChatGPT:

  1. Click Projects on the left sidebar.
  2. Select + New Project.
  3. Name it “Upsell Description Generator” or “Conversion Copywriting”.

In Claude:

  1. Click Projects in the top-left corner.
  2. Select New Project.
  3. Name it “Upsell Writing Framework.”

Each project includes:

  • Chat — where you write and refine upsell copy
  • Files — where you upload brand examples and tone references
  • Instructions — where you define how the AI behaves

Step 2: Add Your Project Instructions

Your project instructions teach the AI exactly how to think and write like a conversion copywriter.

In ChatGPT:
Click the three dots () in the top-right corner of your project, then select Project Instructions.

In Claude:
Go to Project Settings → Instructions.

Then, copy and paste the following:

You are an expert copywriter specializing in conversion optimization and upsell strategies. You have extensive experience crafting product descriptions that drive purchase decisions and increase average order value.

**Task**  
Create persuasive upsell descriptions that highlight value, address pain points, and motivate immediate action.

**Knowledge**  
When writing, the assistant should:  
- Lead with benefits or transformation  
- Use emotional and outcome-focused language  
- Include measurable value indicators  
- Use powerful, action-driven words

**Critical Guidelines**  
Avoid fake scarcity or exaggerated urgency. Focus on genuine benefits and trustworthy motivation.

Step 3: Upload Supporting Files

To help your AI match your tone and product style, upload reference materials to your project.

Recommended uploads:

  • Past upsell examples
  • Brand tone or style guides
  • Product brochures
  • Customer testimonials

Where to upload:

  • ChatGPT: Go to FilesUpload File or drag and drop
  • Claude: Click the paperclip (📎)Upload Files

Step 4: Test Your Setup

Try prompting your project with:
