What's in Store for You

Imagine building pages where what you see is what you get – no surprises. With Custom Page Content WYSIWYG Editors, that's exactly what you get. Create rich and engaging content for your courseware with a user-friendly "What You See Is What You Get" experience, complete with support for layout templates and reusable components to help you craft stunning and media-rich pages.

Let's Get Started

Creating an article is a snap. When you start, you'll begin with a blank canvas. But before you jump into editing, take a look at the "Templates" option in the toolbar at the top left (look for the little icon).

Here, you'll find four ready-to-use layouts that will kickstart your creative process:

  • Call-to-Actions: A headline, a paragraph, and a 2-column layout with an image, caption, and call-to-action buttons.
  • Connect Online: An icon button list for all your favorite social media platforms.
  • Informative: A headline, multiple section headings with paragraphs, images, and a simple 2-column data table.
  • Resources: A headline, a paragraph, and a handy button list for linking to or downloading files.

Once you've chosen a template, the placeholder content will magically appear in your article. Simply click on any element to start editing.

The Magic Toolbar

Our toolbar is like your trusty sidekick – it changes to show you just the options you need when you select an element to edit. Here are some common editor options to get you started:

Text

When you dive into editing, you'll see options for text formatting, including:

  • Format: Choose from different heading sizes and paragraph formats, even create lists.
  • Alignment: Change your content's alignment – left, center, right, or justified.
  • Styles: Make text bold, italic, underline, or strikethrough. You can also remove formatting if needed.
  • Link: Add or remove URL links.
  • Button: Create eye-catching call-to-action buttons that match your themes.
    • Pro Tip: After adding a button, click the 'Link' icon to customize the button label and URL.
  • Alert: Grab attention with styled banners, either as informative (blue) or warning (orange) alerts.
  • Download Link: Include a pre-formatted download link – great for offline reference.
  • Selector (Advanced): If you're familiar with CSS, add unique identifiers to target custom styles (requires access to Private Label Management for custom CSS).

Next to the Format icon, you'll find an 'Add' option to include additional page content.

Image

To add an image, you can paste a URL or upload a new image directly from your device. Resizing is a breeze – just click and drag the blue dot on the right side of the image. Want to add a link or a caption? Select the image icon in the toolbar. You can also adjust the image's position and alignment to flow with your text.

Embed

Whether it's a YouTube or Vimeo link or a webinar registration form, the Embed option lets you easily add externally hosted content to your page.

Tables

Create content-rich data tables with multiple columns and rows to organize your information effectively. Need to change the width of a table cell? Select the Settings icon to enter the desired size and choose if the text should wrap.

Grid

Effortlessly design responsive multi-column layouts by selecting the Grid option and adding content blocks within each column.

FAQs

Make your content more engaging by adding a styled and expandable list of frequently asked questions. Each accordion contains a title for your question. When selected, it expands to reveal the answer text.

Accordion

Similar to FAQs, the accordion adds a single collapsible section for organizing content behind an icon and title.

Navigation

If you ever find yourself stuck and need to back up or out of a selected element, use the breadcrumb trail displayed above the toolbar.

Building Blocks of Content

As you create your article and add content, you'll notice that each section is separated into blocks, each with its own set of controls on the left-hand side. Here, you can drag to reorder, delete, or duplicate content blocks for efficient editing.

In Summary

Creating captivating and informative pages for your Courseware is a breeze with the Custom Page Content WYSIWYG Editor. Now that you're equipped with these easy-to-use tools and tips, go ahead and let your creativity shine. Happy editing!
